It has come down to the semi-finals at the Intel Challenge Super Final 8 finals, seeing SK Gaming face Frag eXecutors and Virtus.pro face off against Moscow Five.
The first day of the ICSC 8 finals saw the group stage conclude, where SK Gaming saw no trouble securing first place in Group A, not even against the Polish power house. The Poles stumbled a bit by losing a map against KerchNET, with the teams tied on points, KerchNET advanced in second place with a better head-to-head round difference. This meant Frag eXecutors would have to do with third place in the group.
Group B on the other hand, was a lot more entertaining. The biggest surprise of the day was to see the Swedes from ESC Gaming fail to go through, getting knocked out by a worse round difference than Moscow Five. It should be Virtus.pro who topped the group, just in front of the Fins from ROCCAT.
In the quarter-finals, Moscow Five got rid of KerchNET with a 2-0 win, losing 13 rounds in total after playing two maps. Frag eXecutors proved to be a bite too big for ROCCAT, who came short of defeating the Poles, losing 16-12 on de_tuscan and 16-7 on de_dust2.
