The former teammates will face off in a Brazilian brawl at 19:30 .
Imperial beat ORDER in the lower bracket game to stay alive in the tournament as they reverse sweeped the Aussies after dropping Inferno (16-8), winning Mirage (16-8) and Nuke (16-11), respectively.
The Brazilians veterans now move on to face 00NATION, who have recently reunited Marcelo "coldzera" David and Epitacio "TACO" de Melom in what will be a spicy battle between former Major-winning teammates for a spot at the IEM Cologne group stage.
For ORDER, this is yet another tournament on European soil where they have failed to beat non-domestic competition, as their one and only win in the last two months is against fellow countrymen Encore.
The series began on Inferno, which was a curious pick by ORDER, considering it is the most successful map of their opponents. The Aussies were able to start off strong with a pistol round win that they converted into a 3-0, before a triple kill by Joshua "INS" Potter made it 5-0. Imperial started to get themselves back into the game after that, getting five out of the next six rounds, getting within one round of their opponents. It was ORDER who managed to get the better ending to the half however, as they kept the economy of Imperial honest, enabling them to get a 10-5 lead at the half.
The second half was a one-sided affair, as the only rounds Imperial were able to get was the pistol round and conversion. Once ORDER got to a gun round, they won the required six rounds in a row to secure the map 16-8, and move the series on to Mirage.
Mirage, the pick of the Brazilians, was almost a carbon copy of the first map, but with the teams in reversed roles. This time it was Imperial who claimed the pistol and got off to a hot start, and ORDER were able to win just the solitary round in the opening exchanges, with a 1v1 clutch by Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo setting the tone for the rest of the half, which his team won 11-4.
ORDER took the second pistol round, but didn't manage to get many rounds on the board after the Brazilians got a proper buy, as they lost the map 16-8, with the series going to the decider of Nuke.
Starting off on the CT side, Imperial got the pistol round and won out the forcebuy wars, as they quickly went 5-1 up. The Brazilian side looked dominant on the map, as the only round they lost following the opening exchanges was a 1v2 clutch by Simon "Sico" Williams. Fernando "fer" Alvarenga's trademark aggression proved too much for the Aussies to handle, as the Brazilian veteran managed to disrupt their setups, not allowing them to get comfortable in their default.
A pistol round for ORDER was enough to make the game close, as the Australians were able to get the score to 14-8, but a hero AWP round by Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo got his team up to match point, and they needed four tries to eventually close out the game with a lower site rush to move themselves on in the tournament.
